Getting started
How Designious Studio, the library, and billing fit together for preparing and using artwork.
Getting started
Designious helps creators move from rough source artwork to usable commercial designs. After you sign in, your workspace includes Home, Favorites, Graphics, Studio, and Settings (Profile and Billing).
Key points
- Studio is in beta — tools and credit pricing may evolve as we gather feedback.
- Free accounts can see Studio tools and try some workflows with their own uploads.
- Paid plans unlock library downloads, library Recolor, and a monthly Studio credit allowance.
- Lifetime members keep library access; monthly Studio credits are not included automatically.

Studio at a glance
Studio Phase 1 includes:
- Uploads — your personal file library with version history
- Vectorize — convert suitable raster art to SVG
- Remove background — transparent PNG cutouts
- Upscale — increase resolution for print and mockups
- SVG Recolor — apply palettes to editable SVG artwork
Image generation and the Image workspace are not part of this guide. They will ship in a later phase.
Choose the right tool
Start with the file problem, not the newest tool:
| File problem | Tool to try |
|---|---|
| Unwanted background or white box | Remove background |
| File too small or soft | Upscale |
| PNG or JPG needs scalable SVG | Vectorize |
| SVG needs a new palette | SVG Recolor |
If a raster image has a background you do not want, remove it first. Upscale before vectorizing when resolution is the blocker. Inspect every result before treating it as production-ready.
Access and credits
Free accounts can open Studio and work with their own uploads. Credit-based actions (Vectorize, Remove background, Upscale, and Analyze) require credits. When you run out, upgrade from Billing or the paywall prompt.
Pro subscribers receive 300 Studio credits per monthly credit window, including yearly plans. The allowance refreshes each month within your subscription period — not once per year.
Lifetime members keep library and download access. They do not receive automatic monthly Studio credits unless granted separately.
SVG Recolor is not charged per run. Recoloring your own uploads is available as a teaser. Opening a library graphic in Recolor requires a paid plan.
