Remove background
Remove background strips the area around your artwork and produces a transparent PNG. Use it when a logo, product graphic, or illustration is trapped in a white box, photo backdrop, or distracting background.
Open Remove background from Studio → Remove background (/home/studio/remove-background) or from the process menu on an upload.
Supported files
PNG, JPG, and WebP raster images. Add files by drag-and-drop, browse, import from URL, or from Uploads.

There are no extra toggles on this page — upload, run, preview, and download.
Preview
The comparison view shows Original and No background side by side. The result panel uses a checkerboard so you can judge edge quality.
Preview against both light and dark backgrounds before saving. Hairline edges, gaps, and leftover shadows show up more on dark product mockups than on white.
Credits and access
Remove background costs 18 credits per run (~16 runs at the 300-credit monthly allowance).
When to use it
- Mockups and ecommerce graphics that need transparency
- Stickers and simple merch layouts
- Preparing raster art before Upscale or Vectorize
- Cleaning scans or product photos with plain backdrops
If the artwork itself is too small or blurry, remove the background first, then continue with Upscale or Vectorize if needed.
